Stimson Lumber Company owns and manages over 500,000 acres of forest land in the Western United States. Many of the logs we convert into building products originate from our own timberlands. This steady flow of raw materials from our own company lands gives us the flexibility to run our manufacturing facilities in the most efficient manner possible.
Through our participation in the SFI program, and adherence to Stimson’s own forestry principles, Stimson demonstrates responsible and sustainable forestry while maintaining a viable and productive business:
- Stimson forest land and log procurement programs undergo a rigorous, independent third-party audit to ensure compliance with SFI program standards.
- Our operations are audited annually to verify continued compliance with the SFI program.
- All timber harvesting under Stimson’s control is conducted exclusively by Qualified Logging Professionals (QLPs).
