The Clatskanie mill is unique in that it is one of the few mills left in the Pacific Northwest that can process large logs. Architectural and structure timbers as big as 24” x 24” and 40’ long are regularly sawn on one of two Headrigs in the mill. The mill produces a wide variety of products including Power transmission arms, appearance grade timbers and long length dimensional lumber.
It is located in the community of Clatskanie, Oregon near the Columbia River and procures the large logs from a wide variety of timberland owners in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington.
The Clatskanie mill is served by the Portland & Western Railroad connecting to the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroad and offers center beam car loadings across the U.S. We also offer loading for maxi trucks, flatbed trucks, and van loadings to fit your customers ever changing needs.
